However, if any of the below situations sound all too familiar, it may be time to remove the dummy:
- Baby wakes frequently at night, looking for their dummy and need help to put it back in.
- Baby wakes during naps looking for their dummy, then only sleep for 10 or so minutes longer once settled with the dummy.
- Baby wakes early in the morning and you are not able to settle them with their dummy.
